About Me

I live with my husband in a small mountain cabin in the Colorado Rockies. We maintain one footprint on the planet earth. We haul water by hand, have a tank in the house with gravity feed, heat and cook on a wood stove, have a home-made composting toilet, and have solar panels on the roof for electricity. My focus is on growing food - enough to feed my entire family (18 of us, including kids, spouses, and grandkids.) My son is learning to hunt, my brother is raising chickens, I'm getting Nigerian Dwarf goats for milk, and my son is learning about raising pigs. We are working on becoming sustainable.
